The Earth Native Wilderness School hosted a Track and Sign Specialist Certification in Austin, Texas on May 25-26, 2013.
Despite massive rainstorms and heavy flooding that made the national news, we saw the tracks of 27 species, including 16 mammals, 4 birds, 3 herps, 3 invertebrates, and several signs of human activity! Some of the highlights were: river otter tracks, bobcat tracks, enormous caterpillar scat, and the tracks of a cottontail eating white bread!
