The Western Tracking Institute hosted a track and sign evaluation in San Diego County on June 23-24, 2012.
We saw the tracks of 36 species, including 19 mammals, 12 birds, 2 herps, and 2 invertebrates, and 1 plant! Some of the highlights were: small owl tracks, beautiful bobcat tracks jumping across a mud puddle, the bizarre sign of a tree root in the mud looking very much like a mole ridge, and long-tailed weasel tracks.
