Texas Parks and Wildlife just hosted their 12th Tracker Certification. It was located at the Elephant Mountain Wildlife Management Area in west Texas. We were lucky to get a heavy rain 2 days before the workshop, setting the stage for some great tracks. We saw the sign of 27 species, including 16 mammals, 3 birds, 4 herps, and 4 inverts.
Congratulations to all for a great job. We had some challenging questions and are happy to have awarded six Track and Sign Level I certificates and four Track and Sign Level II certificates.
Thanks to Casey McFarland for co-evaluating and Ciel Evans for the huge help in putting on this certification.
