The Western Tracking Institute recently hosted a track and sign certification on November 13-14, 2010.
We saw the tracks of 19 species, including 10 mammals, 7 birds, 1 herp, and 1 mark from a branch blowing in the wind. Some of the highlights were a really strange set of kangaroo rat tracks, tracks of a bobcat in an incredibly fast gallop, and snipe tracks and probing.
Congratulations to Conner O’Malley, Shane Brown, and Donna Ghosh for earning level III certificates!
I want to thank Barry Martin and Erik LaCoste for the huge help.
