Texas Parks and Wildlife just hosted their 13th tracker evaluation at Mason Mountain Wildlife Mgmt Area, April 5-6th, 2011.
We saw the tracks of 29 species, including 17 mammals, 6 birds, 2 herps, 1 invertebrate, fish spawning beds, and the marks of vegetation blowing in the wind. Some of the highlights were porcupine and nutria tracks, as well as the tracks of a bobcat. More than 120 TPWD employees have now gone through the certification.
