Central TX Track & Sign Certification 5/4/2025
The Earth Native Wilderness School organized a Track and Sign Certification around Bastrop, Texas from May 3-4, 2025.
Due to heavy rains in the area, we decided to drive an hour and a half to an incredible bridge near Sealy. The second day was spent at a the Earth Native Wilderness School campus. All told, saw the tracks of 30 species, including 19 mammals, 4 birds, 3 herps, 3 invertebrates, and the marks of a branch blowing in the wind. Some favorites include otter tracks, vole tracks, bobcat, and a feral cat skull.
Congratulations to Sloan Kelly for earning their Track & Sign Professional certificate!
A big thanks to Dave Scott and Earth Native Wilderness School for organizing this certification.
