Recent Evaluation in East Texas 01/13/2009
Texas Parks and Wildlife recently hosted a tracking certification in east Texas on January 12th and 13th. We saw the tracks of 37 species, including 23 mammals, 1 herp, 7 invertebrates, 5 birds and the marks of a plant blowing in the wind. Some of the highlights were river otter, nutria, beaver, bobcat and swamp rabbit tracks. This was Texas Parks and Wildlife’s 10th track and sign certification.
Congratulations to Heidi Bailey for earning a 99%, the highest score for a Texas Parks and Wildlife biologist of the over 90 biologists who have been certified. Also congratulations to Kevin Herriman for earning a 96%.
