San Diego Certification 5/7/2017
The San Diego Tracking Team organized a Track and Sign Certification in San Diego, California from May 6-7, 2017.
We saw the tracks of 27 species, including 15 mammals, 6 birds, 3 herps, and 3 invertebrates. We spent the first day at Lake Morena State Park, but due to rain, we moved to a bridge for the afternoon. Day 2 was spent at a large bridge in San Diego under Interstate 5. We saw some great tracks including wing drags from displaying male turkeys, the remains of a cottontail that was fed on by a raptor, a rattlesnake skeleton, and a set of obscure badger tracks. See the photos below.
Congratulations to Bob Ollerton, who earned a Level 4 certificate!
A big thanks to Gary Seiser for organizing this certification. I also want to thank Dan Hansche and Jill Cooper for assisting.

Hi Jonah
Looks like a great eval again. And with a familiar face (Dan). Hope to join one day at your place!
Best,
