Central Texas Tracker Certification 5/20/2018
The Earth Native Wilderness School hosted a Track and Sign Certification in and around Austin, Texas from May 19-20, 2018.
We saw the tracks of 35 species, including 20 mammals, 7 birds, 4 herps, and 4 invertebrates. We spent the first day at a pond at the Earth Native land and at an amazing bridge nearby. Day 2 was spent at Roy G Guerrero Colorado River Park. We saw some great tracks and sign during the certification, including river otter, nutria, turkey vulture, and hispid cotton rat. See the photos below.
Congratulations to Marsha Karr, who earned a Level 3 certificate!
A big thanks to Dave Scott of Earth Native Wilderness School for organizing this certification. I also want to thank Jason Kleinert for assisting.
